Get More Replies from College Coaches—Here’s How
These 5 proven tips will help your emails get noticed, boost your response rate, and put your recruiting on the fast track. Try them today with a free 10-day trial of CCNscout.
Want to know how to get more college coaches to reply to your emails? Check out these five tips:
1. Don't go overboard with info. I get it, you want to show off with videos, stats, articles, and transcripts, but less is more. Keep it simple, and you can always send more later.
2. Contrary to popular belief, writing a highly personalized opening line doesn’t influence response rates. It’s not worth the effort
3. Send more emails. You’re better off sending hundreds of non-personalized emails than you are 20 to 30 personalized ones. Recruiting is a numbers game and sending hundreds of emails is definitely better than only sending a few.
4. Remove stats from your emails. Skip the stats in your emails. If the coach doesn’t think they’re great, it could backfire. Let your video do the heavy lifting.
5. Follow up or don't send emails at all. You will likely get more responses to your follow up than to the original email.
If you're an athlete looking to get noticed by College Coaches, now is the perfect time to take charge of your recruiting process.
